THIRD INTERNATIONAL CHRONIC DISEASE CONFERENCE
NOVEMBER 23 - 26 2009 - CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA

It is with regret that we are announcing that the upcoming Global Perspectives on Chronic Disease Prevention & Management Conference in Calgary has been cancelled.

As you may know, Alberta Health Services is undergoing significant transition as a new organization.  The time, energy and focus is on work related to structure, new roles and the formation of new teams.  In addition, the budget realities of Alberta Health Services are such that priority must be placed on dedicating resources to patient care.

This was a very difficult decision to make, but we are faced with many difficult challenges at this time of fiscal restraints.  It is our hope that we can review this decision in the future and will be able to revitalize this very valuable professional development opportunity.

We thank you very much for your support of the conference in previous years.
